Range of Services

The range of competences and services of the Borreliose Centrum Blankenburg in cooperation with the "Medical Partnership" cover:

1. Treatment of Lyme disease in acute stage (i.e. right after the tick bite)
2. The treatment of Lyme disease in chronic progression (especially in stages of severe disease progression)
3. Treatment of co-infections
4. Pain therapy of the Lyme disease in the second stage and during chronic progressions
5. Mental strengthening and medical health coaching

We offer a unique diagnosis and therapy concept to the patients: diagnosis, laboratory, therapy and rehabilitation all under one roof. The treatments are offered either as outpatient/ambulant or as "day medical clinic" (package 5 days for 1 up to 3 weeks and 2-4 months-programs respectively).

Note:  All medical services (diagnosis, therapies and medical therapy monitoring) are provided by the attending physicians of the "Medical Partnership" and will be invoiced on a private medical basis (according to the Medical Association’s professional code of conduct in Saxony-Anhalt). The Medical Partnership Blankenburg for rehabilitation, chronic inflammatory diseases and health prevention Gabel & Dr. Reinsch is an organisational and economically independent registered partnership, which treats patients in the Borreliose Centrum Blankenburg.

All further services (accompanying therapies, ambulant day medical clinic with "Lyme Disease Intensive Treatment and Rehabilitation" Program and special laboratory services) are offered and invoiced separately by the Borreliose Centrum Blankenburg, a business division of the Health Resort and Convention Hotel City of Blankenburg GmbH & Co. KG.  This GmbH & Co. KG is the operator of this website.

• The treatment of Lyme disease is conducted according to the latest international therapy standards of the ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society, USA, www.ilads.org - version November 2006 & J.J. Burrascano October 2008)  and the recommendations of the German Borreliosis Society e.V. (version April 2008 - www.borreliose-gesellschaft.de), as well as the standards of the Borreliose Centrum Augsburg (BCA, www.b-c-a.de).
• The diagnosis and therapy of Lyme disease infections clearly induce much higher costs and are more time consuming than many health insurance companies are willing to reimburse.
• The book "The Lyme Disease Solution" by Kenneth B. Singleton is very informative and clearly written.
• On the internet you can find plenty of information concerning Lyme disease (see some links here).  These are only general information and do not replace a medical consultation. Please also contact a patient support group close to your home.

Our range of services is also available to patients who are not living near Blankenburg or in the Harz Region. The patients of the BCB and the BCA – especially chronically ill patients – are coming from all over Germany, Switzerland and Austria, from Scandinavia, Italy and other countries in the EU, Russia as well as from North America, Asia and Australia.  The employees of the BCB can also speak English.
